Hi, My great grandmother was Catherine Hanafin and she lived in Brosna. Her family lived there also. My Mom told me they are all buried there. She is also associated with Knocknagoshel in Kerry. Her relatives were the Griffin’s. One of the Grifffin’s was a famous poet. Catherine Hanafin married Jermiah Piggott in around 1871 at the age of 17. I believe her Father’s name was Michael. I know Catherine had brothers named John, Michael and I think Thomas. Her brothers went to Endicott, New York and Binghamton, New York.
