I am searching for more information, especially dates on the family of Edward Hanifen. He married Margaret Cahalan (Calahan?) of Roscommon and they had 13 children; Maurice (died in infancy), Margaret (died in infancy), Mary, Edward, Ellen, James, Bridger, Timothy, Daniel, Machael (Michael?), Elizabeth, Margaret 2, and Joanna. Daniel Hanifen is my connection to this family, he had two wives, Nancy MacLean and Jessie MacLean (sisters?) and one of his son's was also named Edward Hanifen. This Edward Hanifen was my great grandfather and he lived in Denver, Colorado.
I have a large family tree outline that was handed down but no dates or full names.
Please email me at bldrgrl1@aol.com with any information that you might share!

Hi, have you checked the Hanifin family in Antigonish County, Nova Scotia, Canada. They arrived there from Ventry in 1830. I thought this was my family who settled in Kings County NS in 1841, but wasn't. I'm still searching for them in Kerry.Posted 10 years ago #
