I live in Lisle, Illinois. My mother, Suzanne L. Ashe, is the daughter of Mary Hanifin, my grandmother. My grandmother’s married name was McDonald. Her husband was Leo McDonald. They lived at 6147 Fairfield on Chicago’s South Side. My mother is now 85 and will be 86 in October. Does this history ring a bell with any of the correspondents on this site? Thanks.

My Hanifins are from the Dingle penninsula. Do you have family connections there? If you have connections from Dingle, Lispole, etc I may have some common information to share.

Brian,
Ashe is also a common name from the Dingle penninsula and I do have some relatives from that area with that name.
